HanNooRi was founded in June, 1997 by the graduates of SUNY Buffalo and Syracuse University. Consisting of New Yorkers and New Jersians, HanNooRi meets every Thursdays and open to anyone who has interest. H.N.R. mainly consist of post college graduates and young working community. "Han Noo Ri" means to live together in harmony. With their mission on spreading Korean heritage and culture of Poongmul, H.N.R. persues to pass on its next generations the virtue of Korean Ancestral Heritages that we live amongst ourselves helping each other. 한누리는 1997년 6월 첫 모임을 가진 이래 매주(목요일) 한번의 모임을 정기적으로 가져왔습니다. 관심이 있는 사람이면 그 누구에게나 열려있는 한누리는 New York과 Northern New Jersey를 중심으로 활동하고 있습니다 . 한누리는 미국에 사는 청년이 주체가 되는 모임입니다. 풍물 등의 우수한 한국문화를 미국 땅에 알리고 보급하는 것을 목적으로 하고 더불어 건전한 청년들의 놀이문화 정립에 힘을 쓰고자합니니다. 우리의 것을 알고 우리의 것을 찾아 이 땅에서 뿌리내리고 살 주인의식의 계기를 마련하고 더 나아가서 타민족들에게도 우리 것의 우수성을 알리고 보급하고자 합니다.
